Effective Date: December 24, 2025
SMS/MMS Terms & Conditions
These SMS/MMS Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the text messaging program (the “Program”) operated by Romeo Gonzalez Law (“Romeo Gonzalez Law,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Firm”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Program Description
The Program is intended to facilitate communications related to your inquiry or matter, including (as applicable) confirmations, appointment reminders, administrative updates, document requests, follow‑ups, and responses to your questions. If you provide separate and explicit authorization, we may also send informational or marketing messages.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and be the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile phone number you enroll. By participating, you represent that you have authority to receive messages at the number provided.
3. How You Opt In (Consent)
You may opt in to receive SMS/MMS messages by, for example: (i) checking a consent box on a web form, (ii) requesting text communications during a call or conversation, or (iii) initiating a text message to us after being provided a Program number. We may send a confirmation message to validate your subscription.
Important: Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of obtaining legal services or a consultation. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. Depending on your request and the status of your inquiry or matter, you may receive occasional messages or multiple messages within a week during active coordination.
5. Costs & Carrier Charges
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for the Program, but your mobile carrier may charge for text messages and data according to your plan.
6. How to Opt Out (STOP)
You can cancel the Program at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation message and you will no longer receive messages from the Program, except as needed to confirm your request or if you later opt in again.
If you experience issues opting out, please contact us using the information in Section 11.
7. Help (HELP)
For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us directly. We may respond with instructions on how to use the Program and manage your preferences.
8. Supported Devices, Delivery, and Carriers
Messages may be sent using a 10‑digit long code, toll‑free number, or other sender type depending on the provider and campaign. Message delivery is subject to your mobile carrier’s network availability and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Privacy & Data Use
Information processed in connection with the Program (such as your mobile number, message content, and timestamps) is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may use third‑party service providers (such as messaging and CRM platforms) to deliver messages and administer the Program under contractual obligations to protect and limit use of information.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes, except as needed to operate the Program (for example, messaging service providers) or as required/permitted by law.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Program to:
- Send unlawful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or abusive content;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Program or related systems;

12. Important Notices (No Attorney‑Client Relationship / No Emergencies)
Text messaging is not a secure method for transmitting highly sensitive information. Do not send extremely confidential or urgent information by SMS/MMS. Participation in the Program does not by itself create an attorney‑client relationship. An attorney‑client relationship is created only after a written agreement is executed, as applicable.
Do not use SMS/MMS for emergencies. If you need immediate assistance, call 911 or your local emergency services.
13. Compliance
The Program is intended to comply with applicable U.S. communications laws and industry standards, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and messaging best practices. We aim to honor opt‑out requests promptly and manage consent consistent with applicable federal and Florida requirements.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the current version on our website and update the Effective Date above. Your continued participation in the Program after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
